Estate Agents

Any of the vermin post on here ?
I know many years back BM06 was one
Is there any other occupation that does feck all but expects to be paid an inflated wedge ?
Current trend, totally dismissing people viewing properties unless they are cash buyers, wtf ?
You need zero credentials to be one, perhaps that's why they are shocking, needs better regulation

Just one of many 'professions' that add zero value and attract wideboy, thicko types - often ill educated people who don't even have degrees. The following can be included on the list:
Estate agents Used car dealers Traders Insurance salespeople Salepeople (generic)
etc.

People who are blatantly too dim to be EARNING six figure salaries, yet spend their time boasting that they do.
Whether they really earn that (in which case they're frauds) or not (in which case they are sad fantasists).

Fwiw, I always thought they got an unfair wrap, in my dealings with them I always found them very professional, thorough, and understanding that you are making a life decision. At the end they are salespeople, so you have to expect a bit of leaning, same with anything that you might be buying. And no, I've never been one. Boots playing the victim once again.

FWIW,
My recent sale and purchase all parties earned their money
It isnt just the selling its the pathing the way with Solicitors, aligning everyone in the chain and chivvying up weak links to get it over the line.
When I look at my daily rate when I was a contractor and I look at the man hours they put in my fixed rate deal was pretty good.

Sold my house about 18 years ago and bought another. Estate agents were truly awful and their incompetence cost me thousands.
Used one to find tenants for a house recently. Two including the well known market leader were again utterly incompetent just in getting the place advertised online. A third was then excellent getting the property advertised and taken... But then they "managed" the property for me and again were totally incompetent in doing so.
Its just full of wanker wide boys as far as I can see

Clueless post as per usual.
There's good and bad in everything.
Agency is changing, instead of paying a company, you'll be paying 1 specific person to do everything, which I shall be looking at in th3 near future.
The world needs agents, if it was that easy everyone would be doing it themselves.

Also wonder if the pricks on here who slate agents would do 3 to 6 months work for 250 quid. Which is average what a seller or valuer earns if they're working for th3 likes of bairstow eves.

We moved house just before xmas and the estate agent was brilliant.
They sold our house for about £20k more than we had almost sold for earlier in the year, then got us into viewing the house we wanted before it came on the market.

Re: Estate Agents

Yeah exactly what we all need more regulations and more Government getting in the way of people making a living.
You have to either be clueless or a mooch to think this way.
They will be the first to cry if there were no agents around to help them find a home….. Pay peanuts you get monkies!
